sony don't need to match the 2006 E3 KZ2 trailer, they just need enough people to believe they can.
why would MS wait until now to try and beat KZ2 graphically? because KZ2 just launched and they prob feel they have to, d1psh1t. KZ2 is (justifiably) turning heads, so it would only make complete sense for MS to try and counter.

I agree more colors doesn't necessarily = better graphics. I prefer GEARS 1 with more subdued brown-grey environments, it really made the bad-@ss red locust uniforms or sudden burst of blue sky pop visually. GEARS 2 still has great character models at least (when looking at the locust anyway).
360 fans r silly when they make snide GrayZone 2 comments. remember GEARS 1? lol.
don't forget Fallout 3, the best multiplat of 2008! I played the sh1t out of that game, got all 1100 achievement points...

yes but there are often the same kind of articles against the 360.
maybe you're going to say, 'but not as many as there are anti-PS3 articles'. but then I could say ok so the 360 fans find (supposedly) reputable online sources of like-minded people who write (supposedly) intelligent articles giving their opinions backed by some facts; while instead the majority of n4g PS3 fans just post comments under these articles with things like 'xbots r teh g@y tee-hee!'.

I had thought prototype went the way of the wooly mammoth but a friend who went to comic-con said it's coming in June. Eiffel seems to be in the know so it must truly be coming. that early XBL prototype trailer was bad@ss! dl that and turn it up LOUD if you've got the speakers for it.
can't argue with that either. it's true still shots should almost be obsolete now with advanced physics/lighting effects being more and more important to the overall graphical presentation. video is usually needed to truly appreciate what's going on with all that processing.
I remember seeing initial GTA4 screenshots and thinking they looked almost crappy. but when I bought the game anyway I realized that in motion it's quite good. the sort of 'hazy' effect doesn't look bad...
can't argue with that I traded GEARS 2 back after a week or so of trying and failing to connect to online matches with my friends...
I don't know about having bigger fish to fry since I'm sure the gaming division gets some $ regardless and they prob have some freedom with how it's spent.
however, I don't see how ME2 &/or ME3 could stay exclusive with all that's been said in the above comments. so maybe if MS is smart they should try and at least get some sony $ for ME1...

u know what it doesn't even matter whether u were a fan of PS2 personally. the (objective) fact remains that it was certainly less powerful than xbox last-gen.
